Unless there’s a brand new (and probably unnecessary) mould or a more tantalising colour swap, you might be best just grabbing this one on the aftermarket. If you’d rather pick one up in an official set, this summer’s Jurassic World line-up is said to include 76939 Stygimoloch Dinosaur Escape, a 4+ model that will reportedly retail for $39.99. A combination of that original model being relatively cheap (it retailed for just £34.99 / $29.99 / €39.99) and, presumably, the less-than-imposing size of the animal means you can buy a standalone Stygimoloch for just £7.61 on BrickLink. StygimolochĬoming in at the smaller end of the dino-scale, the Stygimoloch has so far only appeared in a single set, 2018’s 75927 Stygimoloch Breakout. That doesn’t provide much incentive to splash out $80 (or presumably £80) on a set with such a poor price-per-piece ratio, so here’s hoping 76942 Baryonyx Dinosaur Boat Escape includes one more dino, or at least a couple of new colours for the Baryonyx. Given it’s technically still on shelves, though, you can currently pick up just the dinosaur from BrickLink for as little as £14.24. Our first and only LEGO version of this dino originally appeared in 2019’s 75935 Baryonyx Face-Off: The Treasure Hunt, a set that’s apparently just left production. Its name – 76942 Baryonyx Dinosaur Boat Escape – also hints at a water scene, suggesting we could potentially see a seafaring dino in the mix.Īll we know for now, though, is that we should expect to see another Baryonyx this summer. The largest rumoured set in this summer’s line-up weighs in at $79.99 for just 308 pieces, perhaps (or hopefully) indicating we can expect to see more than one dino in the box. rex Dinosaur Fossil Escape, but here’s hoping it’s one of the rarer colours – say, the dark grey version from 75938 – given the set has an alleged retail price of just $29.99. And while this particular flavour of dino has been spotted in a few colour schemes, that version remains the cheapest on BrickLink at £16.68 new. The cheapest model to include the current mould was 2018’s 10758 T. rex has mostly been the preserve of sets at mid- to high-tier price tags.

Most recently included in 2019’s 75938 T. We’ll start with the most iconic of the four dinos, which is also (unsurprisingly) the one with the most representation across the LEGO portfolio.
